Convenor’s Message
XLRI, one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business schools, is known for its unwavering commitment to excellence in management education. XLRI empowers students with the knowledge and leadership skills crucial for thriving in today’s fast-paced business environment. Our pedagogical orientation combines rigorous classroom instruction, engaging case studies, immersive simulations, industry collaborations, hands-on projects, and impactful internships. At the heart of our pedagogy is the case method, which reflects the complexities of modern business challenges and inspires students to tackle real-world issues with critical thinking and creative solutions.
The XLRI Case Research and Simulation Development Centre (XL-CRSDC) was established to position XLRI as a premier repository of business cases and a hub for collaborative knowledge creation. Our Centre champions excellence in case and simulation-based teaching, offering robust support to faculty, researchers, and students in developing high-quality educational materials across diverse management disciplines. We are committed to developing a vibrant case-writing ecosystem that enables management scholars to craft publishable and influential cases.
Presently, the cases developed by XL-CRSDC are integral to several of XLRI's core programs, including GMP, XOL, and VIL. With the backing of our esteemed faculty, the Centre has produced a wide array of field-based and secondary cases and established strategic partnerships with both startups and established corporations to enrich our case development efforts. In recent years, the Centre has achieved multiple accolades for its award-winning cases in global competitions, underscoring its capacity to produce impactful teaching resources.
Looking to the future, the Centre is poised to collaborate with leading case clearing houses, host impactful case-writing workshops, and promote case writing both within XLRI and across broader academic and professional landscapes. Strengthening our existing partnerships with industry and startups is vital to our mission of building a world-class repository of insightful management cases and simulations.
