Apart from the regular flagship services of a Library, Sir Jehangir Ghandy Library, XLRI, Jamshedpur provides academic support to all the ongoing programs on or off the Campus. The Academic Support provided can be divided into the following 3 major categories:

The textbooks and case studies are ordered for all the regular courses like BM, HRM, PGDM (GM), FPM & EFPM. Apart from the regular courses, the library also provides the same to all the ongoing Programs viz., Satellite, XOL & Corporate including MDP / In-Company Programs. The recommendations for the textbooks and case studies are received from the faculty or the concerned program office. Based on this, the order is placed by the library.

Course Textbooks

As far as textbooks are concerned, for all the regular courses, the same is distributed to the students from the library itself. Textbooks ordered for the other programs are sent to the concerned department once it is received by the library. Textbooks include both print as well as eBooks (rarely) depending upon the request and availability respectively.

HBS & Non HBS Cases

The links of the Case Study once procured are shared with the secretary of the recommending faculty or assigned staff of the concerned program office to be further shared with the students through any secured LMS (Learning Management System).
