Psychotherapy and Counselling Services
Psychotherapy and Counselling services at XLRI is committed to promoting mental health and personal growth across the campus community. Grounded in the Jesuit value of cura personalis—care for the whole person—we provide compassionate, individualized support to students, faculty, and staff navigating academic and professional demands.
Our services include individual and group therapy, psychological assessments, crisis intervention, stress management workshops, and psychoeducational seminars—delivered with utmost confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism.
Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise in clinical psychology, counselling, and psychotherapy, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions to ensure personalized care.
We also work proactively to build a culture of emotional awareness and mental health literacy through outreach programs, awareness campaigns, and collaboration with student bodies and academic departments—aiming to reduce stigma and encourage help-seeking. Whether dealing with stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship issues, or seeking personal growth, the department stands as a trusted ally. Our goal is to help individuals not just manage challenges but thrive—academically, professionally, and personally.
Our Behavioral Lab uses advanced tools like GSR, EEG, ECG, EMG, Polysomnography, eye tracking, and emotion tracking to support neurofeedback, biofeedback, and real-time monitoring of emotional, cognitive, and physiological responses. These technologies aid in clinical diagnosis and offer research insights into consumer behavior and marketing response.
